Adventure Travel Honduras: Lobster For Lunch
February 26, 2000
One of the highlights of my stay on Roatan was a day cruise on a small sailboat. Captain Alex was a rasta-reggae-dancing-happy-as-you-can-be kinda guy with a black German Shepard as first-mate. The main mast was handmade from a tree on the Island. It was anything but high-tech, but perfect for the ocassion. We snorkeled at various locations around the Island while Alex looked for lunch.

By mid-afternoon he had collected enough seafood for our feast. Shortly thereafter Alex emerged form the tiny cabin of the boat with plates of lobster, conch, and potatoes. Add lime, hot sauce, Salva Vida, and some reggae music and you’ve got a your own tropical paradise!!
